May Diversity Jobs Report Released: 21% Increase in Job Applies Among African Americans

In light of the increasing unemployment rates for Hispanic and African Americans, Professional Diversity Network is successfully bridging the gap to connect more of them to potential job opportunities. This past month, we saw a 21% increase in job applies among our 600,000 African American professionals on Black Career Network.   Similarly, engagement also increased among active and passive Hispanic job seekers across our social media networks, namely Facebook and Twitter.

It’s also important to note progress on our affinity for disabled people, ProAble.net.  In April, we experienced a 12% lift in job applies, which complements our DJR data showing a 7% increase in full and part time employment among this group.

As we continue to measure and monitor the employment situation for all of our affinities, we will maximize these insights to offer compelling products and services targeting each group and the employers who need to reach them.

For a quick quarterly overview, be sure to check out Q1 Key Highlights on page 8 of this month’s DJR.
