Equality, Freedom, and Opportunity: these are the words that every American with disabilities experienced on July 26th, 1990 when the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law.
As noted informer President George H. W. Bush’s speech, the ADA was one of the world’s first decrees on complete equality for individuals who combat the challenges of living with disabilities every single day. Every year on July 26th, we commemorate the signing of the ADA to celebrate the progress and look forward to the ways that technology and society will continue to empower people with disabilities.
